April 2006
Cyber Laws and eSecurity Workshop in Kampala, Uganda
From 25th to 29th April 2006 the East African Community
(EAC) invited some 80 IT experts from Tanzania, Kenya
and Uganda governments for this 4 day conference.
Friday was hands on day. HP demonstrated hacking and
security aspects that are normally trained at German
Police Academy. Many participants told him that they
were quite scarred after the demonstrations, because
they have never seen something similar before. Two
a2a students from last years training acted as co-trainer.
Fausta and Mniko were sent by Agumba Computers Tanzania
to show their skills in IT security.
The workshop finished with a tour to the Source of
the Nile, the place where the Nile originates out
of Lake Victoria and starts its 6400 km long journey.
It is the place where Ghandis ashes were scattered.
